Unfortunately, I had been coming down with a cold the day before and that day it was worse. Yuck. Being sick in the summer is bad enough, but it's much worse when you're in another country! Oh well. The view out the window was so clear and fresh. Nürnberg quickly became my favorite German city, at least of the areas I had already seen.
We ate breakfast downstairs, since it's included. It was Veronica's birthday so we all signed a card and sang to her. Afterwards we toured the rest of the fortress/castle. It was cool, especially when we got to the weapons that they used.
Then we walked to the bus stop and rode to the Doku-Zentrum, where we visited a museum about Hitler/WWII inside an old building that Hitler had built for his rallies that was never totally finished. It was pretty cool, but it was crazy to realize that the streets of Nürnberg that we walked, Hitler and his Nazis had also walked many years ago.
Then we hopped on an S-Bahn to the train station, where we had free time to walk around and get food or whatever for a little bit. Jake and I followed Frau to find food, and then also to find a seat. First we ended up sitting on the floor, but a security guard told us we can't sit there and that there was seating areas upstairs (we found two small tables that were not already taken). I discovered that Germans seem to have a thing about never sitting on the floor. After we ate we went to Müller, where I bought wonderful German pens and some batteries. Then we got on the train (and Jake and I got another ticket).
We had an hour wait at the second train station, which made a lot of them grumpy, but it really wasn't that bad. Finally around 7:50 we arrived at our train station, where a whole lot of happy and excited Germans were waiting for us. When Elli's mom found out I was sick, she went into full mother-mode and was so sweet. She gave me tea when we got back home, and I got the first (and only) tissue box I ever saw in Germany (usually they just have little packs stored in different places throughout the house). She gave me an extra pillow, too. My German family was just so awesome!

The museum we went to
The inside of the rally area - it's a little creepy if you think about it a lot!
The outside of the rally area, as seen from the S-Bahn station
